Hearing on Land Purchase
On
Wednesday, October 7th, the Mayor and Council
of the Borough of Oakland will be holding a public
hearing on the potential purchase of the Heritage Hills
property as Open Space. The hearing will be held at
7:30PM at the Council Chambers located at
10 Lawlor Drive
.
At
this hearing, the Governing Body will discuss the merits
of this purchase as Open Space, the strategic importance
this land holds to our Flood Mitigation Plan and several
financing options available to the Borough. We will also
discuss the short and long-term impacts this purchase
would have on
Oakland
’s Open Space Trust Fund.
Public
input on this potential purchase will also be sought at
this hearing.
All
Oakland
residents who have an interest in Open Space
Preservation to attend this hearing.
